برنامه ی دانشجوی ویزیتینگ محقق VSR چیست؟

یک برنامه ی مطالعه رسمی بویژه برای دانشجویانی است که می خواهند پروژه تحقبقاتی خود را در دانشگاه ما دنبال کنند. تعریف کامل برنامه را در تقویم علمی دانشگاه کلگری مشاهده فرمایید.

دانشجویان ویزیتینگ محقق دانشجویان تمام وقتی می باشند که برای پیگیری پروژه تحقیقاتی همسو با مطالعات خود در دانشگاه مبدا در دانشگاه کلگری حضور یافته اند.

هم دانشجویان کارشناسی ارشد و هم کارشناسی که در یک دوره تحصیلات تکمیلی در یک  موسسه معتبر و شناخته شده ثبت نام می کنند مجاز به شرکت در این برنامه می باشند.

چگونه می توان برای برنامه VSR اقدام کرد؟ در اولین مرحله باید با یکی از سوپروایزرهای تحقیقاتی هیئت علمی کلگری در مورد زمینه ی تحقیق مورد علاقه خود تماس بگیرید و تایید کنید که وی مایل است شما را در تیم تحقیقاتی خود میزبانی کند. پس از دریافت تاییدیه برای پذیرش در برنامه VSR به لینک های زیر مراجعه فرمایید.

دانشجویان ویزیتینگ محقق در دوره کارشناسی باید برنامه کارشناسی را تکمیل کنند. در مورد هر سوال مربوط به پذیرش VSR دوره ی کارشناسی admissions@ucalgary.ca تماس بگیرید.

دانشجویان کارشناسی ارشد باید اپلیکشن دوره ی کارشناسی ارشد را تکمیل و برای اطلاعات بیشتر به Future.grad@ucalgary.ca مراجعه فرمایند.

برنامه ی تبادل دانشجویان GO GLOBAL

UBC یک برنامه بزرگ تبادل دانشجویی بین المللی دارد که با نام Go Global شناخته می شود. دانشجویان تحصیلات تکمیلی در هر یک از دانشگاه های شریک تبادل جهانی ما می توانند برای پیوستن به UBC  به عنوان دانشجوی تبادل برای انجام دوره های مبتنی بر ترم درخواست دهند.

برای اطلاعات بیشتر لطفا به بخش تبادل وب سایت Go Global مراجعه کنید. توجه: درخواست شما از طریق Go Global و نه از طریق سیستم درخواست آنلاین مدرسه UBC Grad انجام می گیرد.

اگر شما در حال انجام تحقیق هستید ، به احتمال زیاد باید یک عضو هیئت علمی را در این برنامه پیدا کنید تا موافقت کند که سوپروایزر میزبان شما باشد.

در صورت موفقیت در درخواست خود ، نامه پذیرش برای شما ارسال می شود که می توانید برای دریافت مجوز تحصیل از آن استفاده کنید.

دانشجویان ویزیتینگ بین المللی تحقیقات (VIRS)

UBC قطب محققان برجسته از سراسر جهان است و از دانشجویان بین المللی تحقیق (VIRS) برای شرکت در انجمن تحقیق ما استقبال می کند. برنامه VIRS  دانشجویان بین المللی را که به طور تمام وقت در UBC تحقیقات انجام می دهند پذیرش می کند. این دانشجو تحت نظارت یکی از اعضای هیئت علمی UBC است. از سال 2014 ، UBC از بیش از 2500 دانشجوی VIRS از بیش از 650 دانشگاه و 85 کشور مختلف استقبال کرده است. برنامه VIRS توسط Go Global تحت نظارت دفتر معاون پشتیبانی بین الملل مدیریت می شود.

الزامات واجد شرایط بودن

دانشجویان برای پذیرش باید تمام شرایط زیر را داشته باشند:

  1. باید در گروه دانشجویان بین المللی طبقه بندی شوید ، به این معنی که شما تابعیت کانادا یا وضعیت اقامت دائم را ندارید

  4. شما باید برای 1 تا 12 ماه با هدف اصلی انجام تحقیقات مربوط به برنامه دانشگاهی خود در دانشگاه مبدا به UBC بیایید،

اگر می خواهید در UBC تحقیق کنید می توانید مسیرهای دیگری را به جای برنامه VIRS طی کنید.

برنامه ویزیتینگ دانشجویی

ما فرصتی برای تحصیل در کانادا برای دانشجویان فراهم می کنیم. کلیه دوره ها بر اساس توافق نامه بین TRU و موسسه شریک براساس حساب موسسه مبدا شما محاسبه می شود. شما یک گواهی پایان دوره در TRU دریافت می کنید ، و رشته های انتخابی دانشگاهی واجد شرایط دریافت اعتبار از TRU هستند.

مدت زمان

یک ترم (پاییز یا زمستان)

شرایط پذیرش

حداقل دو ترم را در یک موسسه شریک با معدل 2.67 (70٪) یا بالاتر بگذرانید.

ارتباطات بین فرهنگی

این دوره برای تجهیز شما به مهارتهایی که برای برقراری ارتباط موثر با همکاران تجاری از سراسر جهان به آنها نیاز دارید ، طراحی شده است. پس از کاوش در عناصر مختلف فرهنگ و ارتباطات ، روش های عملی برای کاهش موانع ارتباطی و از بین بردن سوتفاهم ها را خواهید آموخت. پس از اتمام ، شما درک بسیار عمیق تری از شباهت ها و تفاوت هایی که در میان طیف وسیعی از فرهنگ ها وجود دارد ، خواهید داشت.

دانشجویان کارشناسی ارشد ویزیتینگ از دانشگاه های دیگر که از دانشگاه های مبدا خود مجاز به گذراندن دوره های تحصیلات تکمیلی در دانشگاه کنکوردیا شده اند ، تابع مقررات دانشگاه کنکوردیا هستند. با بخش دانشجویان ویزیتینگ در تقویم فارغ التحصیلان مشورت کنید.

آیا دانشگاه مبدا شما توافق نامه ی دانشجویان ویزیتینگ با کنکوردیا دارد؟

روند درخواست دانشجویی را که به بهترین شکل وضعیت شما را توصیف می کند دنبال کنید:

دانشجویان تحصیلات تکمیلی دانشگاه های کبک باید درخواست  دوره های خود را از طریق فرآیند توافق نامه بین دانشگاهی (INTU / CREPUQ) ارسال کنند.

دانشجویان تحصیلات تکمیلی دانشگاه های کانادا خارج از کبک باید نامه (یا فرم) مجوز را از دانشگاه مبدا خود دریافت کنند. متقاضیان باید این سند را به برنامه مدرک ارائه دهنده دوره (های) ارسال کنند. فرم انتقال فارغ التحصیل بین دانشگاه های کانادا (CAGS) نیز در صورت استفاده توسط موسسه مبدا می تواند تکمیل شود.

دانشجویان تحصیلات تکمیلی دانشگاههای خارج از کانادا باید در صورت توافق مبادله با کنکوردیا ، با کنکوردیا بین المللی تماس بگیرند. آنها به عنوان دانشجویان ویزیتینگ مبادله ای در نظر گرفته می شوند.

ویزای کانادا برای دانشجویان بین المللی

اگر مایل به ادامه تحصیل در استان کبک هستید و شهروند کانادا یا مهاجر لاند نیستید ، باید گواهی پذیرش کبک (CAQ) و مجوز تحصیل در کانادا را دریافت کنید.

با این حال ، درخواست ویزای اقامت موقت  دهید اگر:

  • شما در کشوری اقامت دارید که برای ورود به کانادا به چنین سندی نیاز دارد و
  • برنامه تحصیلی شما شش ماه یا کمتر است و در مدت زمان مجاز اقامت شما در کانادا می تواند به پایان برسد.­

Should you be coming to the University of Calgary to pursue research studies that are directly related to your current degree, you may be eligible to participate in the Visiting Student Researcher program.

What is the Visiting Student Researcher (VSR) Program?

The VSR program is a formal study program specifically for students who wish to pursue research within our institution. Please see the full definition in the University of Calgary Academic Calendar.

Visiting student researchers are full-time students who attend the University of Calgary to support a specific research project that aligns with their studies at their home institution.

Both undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled in a full-time degree program at an accredited or recognized post-secondary institution may apply to participate in this program.

How do I apply as a Visiting Student Researcher?

Your first step would be to contact a UCalgary Research Supervisor in the Faculty of your area of research interest and confirm that they would be willing to host you on their research team. Once you have this confirmation, please apply for admission to the Visiting Student Researcher (VSR) Program using the links below.

Undergraduate Visiting Student Researchers must complete the Undergraduate Application. For any questions related to undergraduate VSR requirements, contact admissions@ucalgary.ca.

Graduate Visiting Student Researchers must complete the Graduate Application. For any questions related to graduate VSR requirements, contact future.grad@ucalgary.ca.

After you have been formally admitted to the VSR Program and have a UCalgary letter of acceptance, please contact issimmigration@ucalgary.ca should you have questions about immigration requirements.

What type of immigration documents do I require?

Conducting research in Canada, regardless if it is for study purposes or not, is considered to be work. As such, proper authorization is required.

Visitors inside of Canada may not participate in this program if they do not possess a valid study or work permit.

UBC has a large international student exchange program known as Go Global. Graduate students at any one of our Go Global exchange partner universities can apply to come to UBC as an exchange student to conduct term-based coursework.

GO GLOBAL VISITING INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH STUDENTS

A VIRS is an international student who is enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or graduate-equivalent program at another university, or is a participant in a UBC-recognized (through Go Global) “bridging” program” who visits UBC for one month or longer (maximum 12 months) to conduct research only.

Visiting International Research Students (VIRS)

Please note the following requirements:

 

Official transcripts from your home institution

Evidence of English proficiency, where applicable, in the form of an official TOEFL, IELTS, or MELAB score.

A letter of permission from your home university’s Registrar or department head confirming that the coursework and/or research undertaken at UBC while a visiting student is for the purpose of completing the graduate degree requirements at the home university.

If you will be conducting research, it is likely you will need to find a faculty member in the program to agree to be your host supervisor.

If successful in your application, you will be sent an admission letter which you can use to obtain a study permit.

Visiting graduate students who wish to take credit courses must register for those courses and will be assessed tuition fees at the prevailing graduate per credit rate, plus authorized student fees.

Visiting graduate students who are also engaged in research activity will be registered for the non-credit activity VGRD500 (master’s level) or VGRD 600 (doctoral level). The fee for each registration in this activity, which covers either Winter Session Term 1 or Term 2, or Summer Session, is equal to the tuition fee for one credit of coursework plus authorized student fees.

UBC is a hub for outstanding researchers from around the world and welcomes Visiting International Research Students (VIRS) to participate in our community of inquiry.The VIRS program provides admission to UBC for international students conducting full-time  research at UBC. The student is under the supervision of a UBC faculty member. Since 2014, UBC has welcomed over 2500 VIRS students from over 650 universities and 85 different countries. The VIRS program is managed by Go Global under the Office of the Vice Provost, International.

While registered as full-time students at UBC, VIRS students may not enroll in academic courses for credit, or formally audit courses.

The VIRS admission process is rolling and there are no deadlines. We strongly encourage students to submit their applications at least 8 weeks before the intended date of arrival. Learn more about the VIRS application process.

Eligibility requirements

Students must meet all of the following requirements for admission:

  1. You must be classified as an international student, meaning that you do not have Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status
  2. You must be actively pursuing a degree at a post-secondary institution in Canada or abroad (undergraduate, graduate, or graduate-equivalent program) or be part of a recognized bridging program. Examples of recognized bridging programs are the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP) and Mitacs Globalink. Contact Go Global for questions about other bridging programs.
  3. You must maintain enrolment at your home university for the duration of your stay at UBC
  4. You must intend to come to UBC for 1 to 12 months for the primary purpose of research related to your academic program at your home university
  5. You must have no intention to enter into an employment relationship with the university related to the research
  6. You must obtain the approval for research activities at UBC by obtaining signatures from:
    1. Host supervisor (i.e. a UBC faculty member who has agreed to act as supervisor through the proposed research period at UBC),
    2. UBC Department Head for the unit or laboratory with which the visiting research student will be affiliated,
  • Home university or sponsoring program,
  1. Supervisor from home institution.

English language and academic qualifications

There is no specific English-language proficiency requirement, or an academic grade point average requirement, for admission through VIRS. It is the responsibility of the UBC host professor and department to determine VIRS applicants’ qualifications to undertake the research. Go Global will review students’ applications for basic eligibility, and admit eligible students to the university.

Getting a UBC supervisor as a VIRS student

It is the responsibility of an individual applicant to identify, contact, and obtain approval from a UBC faculty member who will be their VIRS supervisor. Identify a potential supervisor who best matches your research interests and academic background.

UBC’s Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies website hosts a database of UBC professors and their research interests who are available to host Visting International Research Students.

Prospective students – is VIRS the right pathway?

VIRS is the approved admission pathway for international students who wish to do research-only activity at UBC. If you meet the eligibility requirements and do not wish to take courses at UBC, consider applying to the VIRS program.

Other pathways outside of VIRS

There may be other pathways for you to take instead of the VIRS program if you wish to do research at UBC.

Thompson Rivers University

Visiting Student Program

We provide students with a study abroad opportunity in Canada. All courses are counted towards university credits at your home institution, based on the agreement between TRU and the partner institution. You receive a certificate of completion at TRU, and academic electives completed are eligible to receive credits from TRU.

 

Duration

One semester (fall or winter)

 

Admission requirements

Complete at least two semesters at a partner institution, with a GPA of 2.67 (70%) or higher.

Meet English language requirements and course prerequisite for TRU elective.

TOEFL (iBT 61), or IELTS (5.0), or a letter from a partner institution confirming your ability to take selected courses at TRU.

A minimum of 10 students is required for this program.

If a partner institution sends a group of 15 visiting students to TRU per semester, TRU will accept one instructor from the partner institution to participate in the program. TRU will pay the expenses of international travel, meals and accommodations for that instructor.

Program Structure

INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATIONS

This course is designed to equip you with the skills you need to communicate effectively with business associates from around the world. After exploring different elements of culture and communication, you will learn practical techniques for reducing communication barriers and eliminating misunderstandings. Upon completion, you will have a much deeper appreciation of similarities and differences that exist among a range of cultures.

 

LEADERSHIP SKILLS

In this course you will explore different leadership styles, understand the fundamentals of team-based organizations, consider motivational strategies, experiment with group dynamics, and participate in problem-solving. This is a hands-on course where you will have many opportunities to learn by doing. Activities include self-assessment, reflection, role-plays, and team-building tasks.

 

GLOBAL EMPLOYMENT SKILLS

We have designed this innovative course to reflect current research that shows that broad skills, including critical thinking, creativity, the ability to locate and evaluate information, the ability to work successfully in teams, and problem-solving are crucial for career success. Working through a series of project-based tasks, students will have an opportunity to develop and expand their proficiency in these areas. In addition, students will prepare resumés and practise job interview skills, while developing a greater awareness of career opportunities and challenges and building confidence.

 LANGUAGE STUDIES

To maximize opportunities for academic success and ease the transition to Canada, English language classes will be provided for the first eight weeks of this program. Though emphasis will be on speaking and listening skills, you will also be able to develop and expand your reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary skills.

 

TRU ACADEMIC OR ESL ELECTIVE

Select a course from our ESL elective offerings or our extensive selection of academic courses. Prerequisites must be met for enrolment in academic courses.

Graduate visiting students from other universities who have been authorized by their home universities to take graduate courses at Concordia University are subject to the regulations of Concordia University.  Consult the Visiting Students section in the Graduate Calendar.

 

Does your home university have a visiting student agreement with Concordia?

Follow the visiting student application process that best describes your situation:

 

Graduate students from Québec universities must submit requests for courses through the Inter-University Agreement (INTU/CREPUQ) process.

Graduate students from Canadian universities outside of Québec must obtain a letter (or form) of authorization from their home university. Applicants must submit this document to the degree program that offers the course(s). The Graduate Transfer Agreement between Canadian Universities (CAGS) form can also be completed if used by the home institution.

Graduate students from universities outside of Canada must contact Concordia International if their home university has an exchange agreement with Concordia. They will be considered as Visiting Exchange students.

Contact the Graduate Program Assistant of the department that offers the graduate-level courses that interest you

Submit the following documents:

Authorization to Register as a Non-Degree Student form

proof of current university studies (i.e., transcripts)

a copy of your birth certificate

proof of immigration status (if applicable)

All individuals who wish to pursue studies in the province of Québec must obtain immigration documents if they are not Canadian citizens or Landed immigrants.

If you are an international student who wishes to take courses at Concordia, we invite you to see how to attend Concordia as a visiting international fee-paying student.

Canadian visas for international students

You must obtain a Quebec Certificate of Acceptance (CAQ) and a Canada Study Permit if you wish to pursue studies in the province of Quebec and you are not a Canadian citizen or a Landed immigrant.

However, you need only apply for a Temporary Resident Visa if:

  • You reside in a country that requires such a document to enter Canada, and
  • Your program of study is for six months or lessand can be completed within the allowable period of your stay in Canada. ­

In this case, no other document is necessary. Despite this regulation, foreign nationals may still opt to apply for a CAQ and a Study Permit if they wish. You may obtain further information from the Visa Departments of the Canadian Consulate and Embassy in your country.
